Scenario 2 - Skybound Escort

Sampson always talked about wanting to fly; he had heard the old tales passeddown by the elders, stories of winged metal machines that hurtled through the air above the clouds. But evn though the elders always told him that those days were long in the past, he still wanted to fly.

For most people in the settlement, a dream like this would have been a fancy that should have been outgrown in puberty. But Sampson was the son of a wealthy merchant, he never had to live the hard life, and he certainly never had his dreams shattered. His parents promise him that one day they would get him into the sky.

When the skyfarers came down from the clouds in their great balloons last year, they promised to return. Sampson’s parents offered them great trades if they would be willing to come back and take their son on an adventure therough the skies.

But as the time approaches for the skyfarers to return, storms swirl around the settlement. An old sporting ground in the Ghost City is the only place where the skyfarers can land their airship; and even then only shortly. But a deal is a deal and a promise is a promise.

Sampson’s parents have made a deal with the skyfarers and a promise to their son. Now they just need someone to get their son to the old sporting ground at the appointed time.

Ghost City Raiders is a game for two or more players using the Pocketmod format. Eight tiny pages describe everything you need to know in order to play the game. Each player gets an eight page booklet that describes their character, and they ways the rules change for them. The specific stories are told in the form of eight page scenario booklets.
