Switchblade City 01: Randy's Pool Hall (Modern Generic)Publisher: Fishwife Games

A Nice Little Place To Get Your Head Busted In By Some Drunken Thug With A Pool Stick....

Randy's Pool Hall is located in a neglected looking building that is part of a rundown shopping center area.  Originally the location of a small grocery store, the business was deemed a failure after a couple of decades of operation. The grocery store was shut down and the building was abandoned. Around ten years ago local resident Randy Widener purchased the empty building and turned it into a pool hall complete with serving bar and small arcade room. Since opening up, Randy's Pool Hall has earned an unsavory reputation for illegal, "under the table" billiards gambling and its drunken, rowdy patrons.

Though worse places certainly exist within the city, Randy's Pool Hall is consider to be the kind of place to go to if you are actively looking to find trouble. The regulars that hang out at the joint are seedy sorts of characters and many of them have a criminal history. While his own legal record is clean, it is believed that the owner of the establishment has ties with local criminal influences.

About The Switchblade City Series:

Switchblade City is a series of universal/system generic supplement products for modern era role playing games. Focus is placed upon various locations that would be commonly found in the rougher parts of an urban or suburban community. Though each location offers potential use in a cyberpunk or similar near dark future setting, the most compatible timeline for many Switchblade City locations is now (or, as it is being written, 2013 AD). Though the United States is the recommended geographic location for most settings, it is possible that many Switchblade City locations can be placed in other existing areas with little to no modifications.
Though immediately ready for use in realistic modern crime settings, Switchblade City locations are perfect for other modern genres, such superhero, horror, and weird horror. The Game Master (GM) is encouraged to add to or modify the details of Switchblade City location to suit the needs of their ongoing campaign.
