OUTBOUND is a sourcebook supplement for the DISTANT WORLDS role-playing game by Matt Frisbee, detailing the Commonwealth Pathfinders -- the Solarian Commonwealth's civilian organization which is tasked with space exploration.  This supplement includes background information on the Pathfinders; a variant system for creating characters for adventures and campaigns focusing on space exploration in DISTANT WORLDS; gear and spacecraft designs used by the Pathfinders; guidelines for running Pathfinder campaigns; and a set of four linked adventures allowing the characters to take part in the exploration of Typhon, a world on the fringes of Commonwealth space!
