A one-page plan of an abandoned camp in a swampy wilderness. What is the 'exotic artefact'? Where have the camp members disappeared to? What is that strange piping heard on the wind at night? The Blizzard's TeethPublisher: Silver Branch Games

Strangers eye each other across the frosty courtyard of the keep. Outside the blizzard howls - but is it the wind, or the shapes within that have already slaughtered your companions?

This is a Jaws of the Six Serpents adventure of fantasy survival horror by Scott Dorward, designed for convention or one-shot use. The characters provided are a dubious lot with secrets and agendas that will drive events. Will they work together in the face of a terrifying enemy?

(You may also be able to adapt this for use with ongoing characters, if you really want to. You could certainly adapt it for other systems, and there's a box on the very simple workings of PDQ to help.)

What you get: the adventure in the same book format as previous Jaws products, plus the player character information repeated on Letter-size pages.

This adventure has a lot of death and is likely to lead to characters making unpleasant choices. It's probably not suitable for pre-teen players.

The Crying HackPublisher: DaimonGames

The Crying Blades Houserules

turned into a Black Hack hack

If you've seen The Crying Blades, you know which game I'm talking about...

But you probably didn't, so just know this little game is inspired by The Black Hack from David Black.

The Crying Hack is a fantasy, classic OSR, easy game. It's built on the fundation of The Black Hack and it aims to retain its simplicity and flexibility, while introducing a few twists and houserules. Those houserules are a streamlined, simplified version of some of those you will find in the complete game The Crying Blades.

In the Crying Hack, for example, you will find: Attributes based Saving Throws, the Gift score for re-rolls and multiclassing, new and unique talents for each class, a special melee combat roll that resolves attacking and defending in a single unique roll, special rolls for Turns-based exploration and encounters, Hirelings, etc.

And if you like The Crying Hack, please consider buying a copy of The Crying Blades.

WARNING - BETA!

This is still a beta version: it wasn't tested very much.

Lovecraftian Title GeneratorPublisher: Azukail Games

This generator consists of three tables that will allow the GameMaster to come up with titles, or even the names of monsters, inspired by the works of H. P. Lovecraft and others. The generator can be used to create random results, or suitable ones can be chosen manually.

The tables are "things," prepositions and "places." The tables have 50, 12 and 100 results, giving many different combinations. Simply get a result from each table and assemble them in order, probably prefixing the lot with "The." If the result doesn't seem to work, try again.

Tower 6 x 6 TilesPublisher: DramaScape

“We’ll never be able to make you strong or tough like me except through a ton of physical fitness and endurance training. But one dose of this potion is like a short cut to power and vigor. Interested?”—Frhan, Alchemist

Tower 6 x 6 Tiles includes 24 unique 6” x 6” tower tiles and four add-on circular tower centerpieces for 28 total images. It also includes the VTT (Virtual Tabletop Tiles) for online use.

Tower 6 x 6 Tiles is intended for use in fantasy, medieval, or horror games.

Adventure hook for use with this map:

The Tower of Trials: The center of the town has the town alchemist shop with a massive tower that looms over the building and the rest of the town behind the shop. Frhan is a retired adventurer, a former warrior with sagging muscles, but still in good enough shape to wipe the floor with most challengers. An oddity among most fighters, he has wits to match his strength and is now making money as an alchemist. With the right alchemical concoctions he can even return to his former physique!

Frhan sells potions that imbibers can use to become stronger and tougher or even seal wounds. He also sells more basic supplies such as food, water, and equipment. Frhan’s is the last stop before entering the wizard’s tower.  The back door of Frhan’s alchemist shop leads up to a wizard’s tower, the Tower of Trials. It is a brutal twenty floor tower where the wizard Shydrark lives on the top floor. Frhan has a sign-up sheet for the Tower of Trials which includes language about how Shydrark is not financially responsible for maiming or death from trying to climb the tower and reach the top. Flying monsters guard the outside such as gargoyles to defend against climbing ‘cheaters’ and the interior tower monsters include animated corpses of former adventurers who tried to climb the tower and failed, carrion feeding creatures to clean the tower of blood, and animated monsters such as golems. Those who reach the top of the tower though are allowed to gain either a magical item or a free teleportation to a land or plane of their choice. For some, the risk is worth the reward.

Shadowrun: Shadows in Focus: City By Shadow: MetrópolePublisher: Catalyst Game Labs

    This Is Not for You

Metrópole was not built with shadowrunners in mind. Or even metahumans, for that matter. In the Awakened country of Amazonia, the great dragon Hualpa reigns, critters walk the streets under full protection of the law, and the people struggle to figure out how they’re supposed to fit into this huge mess.

And huge it is. With many kilometers of coastline, thousands of tangled streets, and millions of residents, the city is packed with power, money, and intrigue—everything shadowrunners need to do their work. Yeah, the job might come with a slightly elevated chance of becoming dragon food—if that worries you, maybe the work down South America way is not for you. But if you have enough courage and an appetite for the strange, Metrópole is a great way to fill it.

Metrópole is a guide to a fascinating section of the Sixth World, with information on the city, the powers within it, and the plots that will entangle shadowrunners. With NPCs, critter stats, and even a life module for Metrópole natives, the book has all you need to experience this massive sprawl.

Metrópole is for use with Shadowrun, Fifth Edition, and it can also fuel plot ideas and storylines for Shadowrun: Anarchy.
